The Mahogany Collection by Alexander Rose made from Mahogany sourced from the Congo, Africa/Vietnam; Mahogany is an ideal hardwood for building outdoor furniture with the high durability necessary for creating strong long lasting garden furniture. The Mahogany Collection offers both traditional design and contemporary alternatives featuring the curved back slat bench, an ergonomic design developed by Alexander Rose.

This Mahogany Lattice Garden Bench 5ft, was designed for comfort with high arms, shaped seat and back slats. This bench would create a great centre point in any indoor or outdoor space.

Mahogany

Mahogany (Meliaceae family) is a hardwood with a pinkish colouring that darkens to a typical Mahogany reddish brown that features a fine and even grain. Mahogany boasts a durability of up to 10 years. All Alexander Rose’s Mahogany is sourced from the Congo, Central Africa and is FSC® Certified.

Mahogany comes with a 3 year warranty.

Timber Care

Alexander Rose Manufactures Garden furniture that will last for many years, but over time the natural weathering process will begin as evaporation of natural oils and minerals in the wood begins from exposure to the elements. Cracks and splits can appear in the wood particularly on the end grain. The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear.

Alexander Rose timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and durability will remain unaffected. Wooden furniture can be treated with Alexander Rose’s specially formulated care products to enhance the natural look of the wood. Alternatively the wood surfaces can be left and will eventually turn an attractive mellow silver grey, and should be occasionally cleaned with soapy water.
